Ky Wilson Shortlisted for Women in Finance Awards 2024

30 September 2024 – Melbourne – Ky Wilson, Head of Marketing & Membership at the Institute of Financial Professionals Australia (IFPA), has been named as a finalist for the prestigious Marketing Professional of the Year category at the Women in Finance Awards 2024.

The Women in Finance Awards is widely regarded as one of the most influential awards programs in the financial services sector. Each year, the program recognises women who have demonstrated excellence across various financial sectors, including financial planning, mortgage broking, insurance, superannuation, and accounting.

Ky Wilson’s shortlisting for Marketing Professional of the Year reflects her dedication and exceptional leadership in promoting the finance sector, particularly in her role at IFPA, where she has been instrumental in driving member engagement and innovation. Her influence has played a pivotal role in supporting IFPA’s growth and enhancing its brand presence in the Australian finance landscape.

Ky Wilson commented on her nomination: “It’s an incredible honour to be named as a finalist in the Women in Finance Awards. I’m proud to be part of an industry that’s evolving and growing, and to be recognised alongside so many talented women driving positive change is tremendous.”

With women making up only a fifth of the financial planning industry, the Women in Finance Awards provides a crucial platform to amplify the achievements of women in these male-dominated sectors.

Scott Heathwood, IFPA Board Member, said: “Ky’s recognition in the Women in Finance Awards is a testament to her hard work and unwavering commitment to the financial services industry. She continues to bring fresh, innovative ideas that resonate with both our members and the broader financial community. We’re immensely proud to see her named as a finalist.”

Kurtis Alaeddin, fellow IFPA Board Member, added: “Ky has been a driving force in elevating the IFPA’s engagement and marketing strategies. Her dedication to fostering greater inclusivity and her ability to navigate the complexities of this industry have earned her this well-deserved accolade. We look forward to seeing her achieve even greater success in the future.”

The winners of the Women in Finance Awards 2024 will be revealed at a black-tie gala held at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney, on Friday, 15 November 2024.
