Periods of economic uncertainty often trigger clients’ concerns about their investments. In these moments, financial advisers are expected not only to understand what is happening in the economy, but also to explain it in clear, simple terms so clients can better grasp the reasoning behind sound financial decisions.
This one-hour workshop is designed to help financial advisers explain current economic events and conditions in Australia in a practical, accessible way that is relevant to client decision-making. Grounded in core economic principles, the session focuses on translating economic developments into plain English and helping clients distinguish between short-term noise and events that genuinely matter for long-term financial strategy.
The workshop also explores how to respond to common client worries during periods of uncertainty, including panic about market falls, inflation, or recession, and the urge to move assets into cash or abandon long-term plans in response to alarming news coverage.
Practical in focus, the workshop aims to build advisers’ confidence in explaining economic events clearly, reassuring clients where needed, and supporting better-informed decisions.
