The role of ethics in professional advice practice is getting further attention in terms of the impact biases on ethical decision making, and how ethics should be at the heart of advice to harness public trust with a greater focus on the public’s interest. This was specifically highlighted in the latest IESBA revisions to the tax planning advice that came to effect 1 July 2025.

He provides advice and training to organisations, businesses, and professionals in the areas of financial services regulation compliance, ethics, corporate governance and culture. Nidal is also a lecturer at University of New South Wales Business School and at the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) in the areas of leadership, wealth management, estate planning and ethics, he is also a Certified Ethics Trainer with the CFA institute. Nidal regularly works and consults with regulators, large financial institutions, and accounting firms.
Nidal holds a Master of Commerce; he is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow CPA Financial Planning Specialist, a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Tax Adviser, a member of the CFA Institute. Nidal has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry.
